A beautiful day with the sun splitting the sky and the breeze coming and going, not ideal conditions for fly fishing but a vast improvement on the previous six weeks where it seems to have rained every day.So for the Phoenix Angling Club out on the12th September 2009 although they enjoyed their day it proved to be difficult with fish hard to come by.However there is always the exception to the rule as Stewart Biggart produced this lovely basket of five wild trout on a drift just east of the Clachan Cottage Hotel on the north shore.Only one other fish was taken during the competition and that was a 1lb brownie for Bill Farquhar. Taking flies were Bibio Hopper, Ace of Spades and the Clan Chief
