Great Day Despite Challenging Conditions

Alan Jackson and Derek Stenhouse from Carluke who were out fishing in "Murphy's Drift" with eight decent brownies kept and despite a cold north easterly wind ended up with thirty trout for the day.Fishing with Di3 lines they picked up fish close to the Sailing Club, Derry Point, Fish Farm Exclusion Zone Fence and Ardvorlich shoreline. The most successful flies were the Hummungus, Golden Olive Bumble and the Kate Maclaren.
