Great End To The Season

This magnificent Rainbow Trout which tipped the scales at 13½lbs was taken by Scott Weir from Motherwell out fishing in a private boat with fishing buddy John Patrick from Fankerton on the 3rd October 2015Scott hooked the fish on a Rainbow Warrior nymph whilst fishing the shallows in Ardveich Bay using an Airflo Super Dry Distance Pro Line with a 4lbs breaking strain leader.It took ten to fifteen minutes before the fish was eventually netted, a great end to the fishing season.
