This fantastic spring salmon was taken on Loch Earn on the 7th May 2005 by Associate Membership Season Ticket holder Deryk Reddington from Cowdenbeath. Out in a Drummond Estate Boat, Deryk hooked the fish as he was crossing the Loch from Derry Point to Ardvorlich. The huge fish took a small zebra Toby and took about half an hour to get it into the boat. It's quite unusual to catch salmon in Loch Earn, however this particular year major work was being carried out at Dalhonzie Power Station and as a result a constant flow of water flowed in the main river all season resulting in larger numbers of fish moving upstream.
